Hiring

Are you still hiring?

CFC generally hires more heavily toward the beginning and end of each semester. Your best bet is to apply before the beginning of the semester during which you want to work. However, CFC is always accepting applications. We often have some shifts to fill mid-semester. But if not, your application will definitely be considered at the end of the semester during our primary hiring phase.

How can I apply to be a fitness monitor?

Review the job description. If you are interested and think you fit the description, stop by 305 HNH for an application.

Do I already need to be CPR certified or do you provide the classes?

You must have CPR and Standard First Aid certifications to work for CFC. However, your application may still be considered before you have the certifications. By submitting an application to work here, you are committing to follow through and get the certifications before your start date. CFC usually offers some full classes at the beginning or end of semesters, but cannot guarrantee to meet everyone's needs. You must be prepared to get yourself certified by going to local ARC classes if necessary.

CFC recognizes American Red Cross certifications. American Heart CPR certifications are only recognized for one year.

Applicants who are already certified will be given some preference.

This equipment is available at several locations across campus.

If I only want to attend a fitness class once a week, do I need to buy a membership?

What's the difference between the different types of yoga listed on the fitness class handout?

The types of yoga are explained on the Wellness Site and the Fitness Class Schedule.

Where can I park?

This is actually a complex question that depends on your permit and the time of day. Most of our sites are near parking lots with free evening or weekend parking, but please check Commuter and Parking Services for definitive information.

Where are the pools on campus?

There are pools in Teagle and Helen Newman. Your access to those pools is independent of your membership status with CFC.

What are their hours?

Information about pools and other facilities is here.
