Hi guys! Yes, here they are, the very-late minutes from last week's meeting (I took over the role since Elisa couldn't make it this time). * How should we make decisions? We decided that a consensus of the exec board would be a good way.. and we are counting on the ability to reach that consensus. * I've requested an automated list (cugsa-l@cornell.edu) and we're still waiting to hear back about that. I just received mail the other day saying it would be processed within a few business days. * Let's get in touch with Meghan. how is she feeling? * Where do we want to meet in the future? Especially if we hope to open up our meetings to the public, which we hope to do after big project # 1 (the Safe Place card) is completed. * Publication services.. I don't have details but I think this is a service in Willard Straight that we can use, to some degree for free..? * I have some web-based projects going, some of which might be good things for the GSA to do rather than just me. Check out my web site to see the stuff. * Peter Chan is now pretty much an official member, and was a major contributor at the last meeting. However, only so many characters fit in the special mailbox form, and what that comes down to is that we can't add his address as a recipient for cugsa@cornell.edu. So I will have to forward things to him. Maybe since I work for CIT I can figure out if there's a way around that limitation. * Peter has taken our current Safe Place card design and incorporated most of it into a new design that we all think is pretty cool. It looks like the idea is evolving a little at a time into what it will ultimately be. We should get a draft of this out somehow * We have been discussing the text for the Safe Place card. James came up with a working idea which we can take a look at later, or maybe pass around via e-mail. ... and now for the big thing... The Gaypril Kickoff... Sex Fair! To take place in the Memorial Room in Willard "Gay" Hall. April 5th, Wednesday, 11:00 to 2:00 I believe is the desired time frame for the event. So we'll need to reserve the room from 10:00 to 3:00 that day (setup/cleanup). I believe Sarah is looking into this. We want to have several central activities surrounded by peripheral activities. Central Activities: - A big wide-open, possibly moderated, public ZAP! panel - Performances by the Outloud Chorus! (split into sets possibly) - Speaker: Claudia Brenner, on hate Crimes? Peripheral Activities: * Tables by (for example): - DASH - Haven - Gannett Sexuality - Human Sexuality Collection - OIW - LGBTRC - ILGBTTF - AIDS Work - PFLAG - LGB Studies stuff like that! Also free food and condoms, and nice decorations to lure people in.. We can advertise with a banner on the Campus Store. It is questionable whether we can really put up a sign calling the building "Willard Gay Hall," but it would be cool if we could.. Getting people into the Memorial Room will be potentially challenging. But I think if we spill some of those tables out into the lobby, and/or have people in the lobby directing people into the room, handing out flyers, etc... that might help. Well, we're set for our next meeting with Sarah at 5:30 on Monday. We now intend to end at 6:30 sharp, so that this can be manageable for Sarah. * If we want the Outloud Chorus, we have to book them soon!
